Meet Olympia Ammon
Executive Director, Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation

Olympia Ammon has served as the Executive Director of the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation since March 2021. She is a skilled relationship builder, strategist, and fundraiser. Her 24 years of work experience have been split between nonprofit and for profit entities, always in outward facing, revenue generating leadership roles. For decades she has consulted with nonprofits seeking significant revenue generation. Olympia is a NANOE Certified Nonprofit Consultant.
In addition to her consulting projects, Olympia’s most recent full-time role was as Vice President of Development at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). There, she led and motivated a team of 45+ development staff in the following functions: Annual Giving, Acquisition Groups, Membership, Events, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, Prospect Strategy & Research, Systems, Analytics, and Data Management. Olympia’s prior nonprofit work experience include senior development roles at Rice University, Teach For America—Los Angeles, the American Heart Association, and Cedars-Sinai.
Olympia graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University in 1996. She earned her MBA from Rice University in 1999. She serves in various leadership roles for Vanderbilt University and is the only non-physician board member of Surgery Group of Los Angeles Research Foundation. Raised in Arizona, she is fluent in Spanish. Olympia resides in Los Angeles with her life partner Dan and their three children.
